Lemme know when they schedule the ’11 version, I am so there!

Really sad I missed Wyrdcon, so thanks for the writeup, and I would also love to check out Knutepunkt someday. Let me know if it looks like you might actually do it.

While I tend to be one of the loudest people complaining about the lack of good online pre-registration at Wyrd Con, part of me worries that if we really had the kind of pre-reg I want, I’d be too busy LARPing to socialize.

I’ll take the blame for that, Nat. Low attendance and my lack of efficient moderation didn’t help.

However, the Nordic larpers, including Brody Condon and the HPLHS (they know each other) had a long chat over drinks later that night, and we had a good discussion about larp, art, the problems and possibilities of it in America, etc.

Brody is returning to LA in a few months to do a piece at the Hammer Museum; I can’t wait to check it out.

So although the panel fizzled, there was a great pop a few hours later because of it. That’s what’s so great about coming to these cons, those little moments in the hall, in the bar, etc., where two artists can talk shop (a la the Sunday brunch).

@Chris: I’m assuming you’re talking about the Pre-Con at Intercon J, but I’m not sure which panels in particular you’re referring to (perhaps I wasn’t there for those). I’m coordinating the Pre-Con for K this year, so I’d be interested to hear about it. Email me if you’d like to talk about it, I guess?

Though after hearing about how Aaron’s panel was received, I’m glad that I withdrew my panel topics.

Having one panel fail to take off this year was enough for me.

And I do not believe I could participate in this survey. I do not remember every LARP I have played in the past 21 years.

@Mike: You should so come to Wyrd Two. It’s just not a LARP con without you! And if we’re both there, we can totally make another Magic Mountain trip.

@Aaron: Thanks for the game and the panels and the brunch and probably a bunch of other stuff I’m forgetting to thank you for! I suspect a big part of the reason the Nordic LARP scene has grown is the cross-pollination that Knutepunkt provides. It’s good we’re finally starting to get some communication in the USA (helped in part, no doubt, by Wyrd Con).

@Anita: You were an awesome drummer! It was great playing with you as well.
